Testing Coordinator

Students at enCompass Academy participate in all State Assessments and many Local District Assessments and Benchmarks. Below is a list of assessments and benchmarks and which students/grade levels participate in each.
You can also view links to help you support your student. Please remember that testing is a time for students to show what they know. When we make testing a stressful situation, students do not perform as well. We encourage you to be supportive and encouraging during testing.

ECSD End of Year Progress Check
Grades 1 & 2: English Language Arts & Mathematics
Georgia Milestones Assessment System (GMAS) End of Grade
- Grades 3-8: All grade levels take English Language Arts & Mathematics
- Grades 5 & 8 also take Science
- Grade 8 also takes Social Studies
Georgia Milestones Assessment System (GMAS) End of Course
The GMAS EOC counts as 20% of the student's final grade for that course. High school students take the EOC assessment after completing the following courses:
- American Literature (11th Grade)
- Biology
- Algebra I
- US History
ECSD Benchmarks
Given 3 times a year (Fall, Winter, Spring). Used to measure student progress.
Adapted Curriculum Students
Georgia Alternate Assessment 2.0 (GAA)
- Grades 3-8 and High School: All grade levels take English Language Arts & Mathematics
- Grades 5, 8, and High School also take Science
- Grade 8 and High School also take Social Studies
